41.5 hours per week (standard hours)

About Us

South Wales Sports Grounds Ltd is a well-established, family-run sports surface contractor with over 60 years' experience. We specialise in the design, construction and maintenance of sports and recreational facilities across Wales and South West England.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced 360 Excavator Plant Operator to join our site teams, working on a range of sports and civil engineering projects. This is an all-round machine operative role, with excavator operation forming a key part of the position.

As we operate as a close-knit team, there will be times when you are expected to step out of the machine and assist with general groundworks and site activities, supporting colleagues and helping to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a 360 excavator safely and efficiently on site Dig trenches for drainage and ducting works Carry out grading, shaping and profiling works Loading operations and muck shifting Assist with general groundworks when required Carry out daily machine checks and basic maintenance Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements

Proven experience operating a 360 excavator Experience in drainage, ducting, grading and muck shifting operations CPCS or NPORS with CSCS logo Valid CSCS Card Full UK Driving Licence Flexible, reliable and a strong team player
