WE ARE RECRUITING

We are looking for a Mobile Plant Operator to operate our 360 excavator with selector grab within our busy recycling site.

This role would involve operating a material handler loading a mobile shredder and wagons with out going waste. The machine you will use to do this is a JCB JS145 excavator with high rise cab and selector grab. Hours for this role will be dictated by the needs of the picking line work load but normal hours are: 7:00 - 17:00 Monday to Friday. There will be Saturday mornings on a rotational basis. Daily Checks of the excavator are paramount within this role as the environment is hard on the machine.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a JCB excavator with selector grab Load waste/recyclables as directed. Work as a member of a team. Work under own initiative. Carry out daily vehicle inspections and complete appropriate paperwork. Ensure paperwork is completed fully and passed to relevant Manager. Ensure the satisfactory completion of work in accordance with instructions. Ensure compliance with both company vehicle policy and all legislative requirements. Be compliant with Health and Safety at work requirements. Carry out any reasonable task or other duties and responsibilities as may be required. All activities must be carried out in accordance with the safe working methods and with the supplied appropriate safety clothing.
Must have experience:

Worked within the waste and recycling industry 360 excavator work (preferably worked with a selector grab)
