Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and have experience operating excavators on various construction sites. This role requires a commitment to safety and efficiency while working in a fast-paced environment. As an Excavator Operator, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of projects by ensuring that excavation tasks are performed accurately and timely.

Duties

Operate excavators for digging, grading, and trenching activities on construction sites. Conduct pre-operation checks to ensure machinery is in safe working condition. Follow site plans and specifications to execute excavation tasks accurately. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate activities. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning and lubricating parts. Report any mechanical issues or concerns with the excavator to management promptly.

Experience

Proven experience operating excavators in commercial settings is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge is required to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred for transporting machinery as needed. Familiarity with construction site protocols and safety regulations is advantageous. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
