Duties
Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as required. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate activities and ensure safety protocols are followed. Assist in the loading and unloading of materials as needed. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Report any mechanical issues or concerns with the equipment promptly.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment. A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory. Ability to dig accurately and efficiently while adhering to project specifications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A commitment to safety and the ability to follow instructions meticulously.
