Overview

We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of excavation processes and demonstrate proficiency in operating excavators safely and efficiently. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Duties

Operate excavators for various tasks including digging, grading, and site preparation. Perform routine maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure optimal performance. Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to coordinate excavation activities. Interpret blueprints and project plans to execute tasks accurately. Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed. Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Experience

Proven experience as an Excavator Operator or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues. Valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not essential. Ability to dig accurately according to project specifications. Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to excavation work. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
