The

3PL

SME

is responsible for coordinating activities that enable the logistics operations process operating model while also serving as a first point of contact between Stryker Logistics Operations stakeholders and its third-party logistics (3PL) partner. Acting as the primary liaison between the two organizations in respect to the daily operations, this role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and optimal inventory management across multiple systems. Additionally, the position provides subject matter expertise (SME) on warehouse logistics, human tissue regulatory compliance activities, and business process improvement.


Key Activities & Responsibilities:



3PL Management & Operational Oversight:

A Serve as the primary point of contact between Stryker and 3PL warehouse operations, ensuring alignment on operational priorities and performance. A Lead daily calls with 3PL operations teams to review KPIs and set daily objectives. A Conduct regular Gemba walks to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement. A Monitor and enforce KPI performance, holding the 3PL accountable for service levels. A Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues that arise within the 3PL operations, including system-related discrepancies and regulatory challenges.

Inventory & Systems Management:

A Ensure accurate inventory alignment between StrykeraEUR(TM)s Oracle system and the 3PLaEUR(TM)s enterprise systems. A Work closely with the 3PL operations leadership team to resolve discrepancies and maintain inventory integrity across both platforms. Collaborate with StrykeraEUR(TM)s Supply Planning team to communicate logistics priorities and resolve supply chain issues, including under- and over-delivered shipments. A Oversee the release and reintegration of MDR (Medical Device Regulation) stock into active inventory.

Process Improvement/ Process Operating Model:

A Serve as Process Owner for Logistics Operations processes/ training materials. Develop and refine Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions and training plans to optimize logistics operationsaEUR(TM) quality and compliance. Identify and implement lean process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational waste. A Address quality and regulatory issues from an operational perspective, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure compliance. Coordinate logistics operations inventory compliance activities in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. This includes ensuring Oracle programs are in place to facilitate all stock accuracy actions (Picking exception, Cycle count etc) and relevant subinventory& locator management activities (e.g. DAR/ EXP/RTS etc) A Support and drive UK waste reporting initiatives in line with regulatory requirements. A Collaborate with key stakeholders such as Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Planning, Logistics operations to ensure new product launch readiness for all products to be introduced into UK/ Ire market Support ad-hoc tasks that enable the UK Logistics Operations to achieve best in class business process operating model

Human Tissue Operations & Regulatory Compliance:

A Serve as (or support) the Designated Individual Delegate (DID) for Stryker UKaEUR(TM)s Human Tissue facility, ensuring compliance with HTA (Human Tissue Authority) regulations. A Oversee (or support oversight) of all aspects of the human tissue operation, ensuring regulatory adherence and operational excellence. A Participate in regular meetings with the DI and RAQA to ensure HT compliance. A May act as an SME for tissue-related logistics, providing guidance on best practices and compliance standards.

Additional Responsibilities:

A Provide ad hoc support to internal Stryker teams requiring logistics expertise.

What you will need:



Education



Essential: High School/ Diploma / GSCEaEUR(TM)s (or equivalent) Desired:A Further Education i.e. College or University English speaking (Professional Working Proficiency in English communication)

Experience



Essential:

Experience of working within a team. Experience of working to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills Can demonstrate a high level of problem-solving skills A Must be IT literate and efficient in an administrative environment. Well versed in Microsoft Office tools Knowledge of Operations management processes & general logistics Experience of the Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, healthcare or other regulated industry
Desirable:

Previous experience using Enterprise Resource Program systems (ERP) in similar role Previous experience inspecting manufactured goods or assembling instrumentation gained from within a manufacturing/ logistics process. Previous experience conducting dimensional and electrical inspection of sub-assemblies, final systems assemblies or instrumentation. Prior knowledge of interpreting prints and bill-of-materials lists in approving or rejecting in-process, final assemblies or instrumentation.
