Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood education principles. The Nursery Assistant will support the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. Provide care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and physical development. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery environment. Collaborate with other staff members to create a supportive team atmosphere. Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in childcare management.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential. A recognised childcare qualification is essential or currently enrolled on a relevant course. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide and support young learners. Management skills to assist in the smooth operation of daily nursery activities. A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their development is crucial.
Rates of pay for all positions are dependent upon experience and / or qualifications, rather than age. This will be discussed at the interview stage.
