Job Summary:


The 4D Planner will maintain and expand the 4D Synchro model to prove both the Design and Programme represent the sequence of works on the Project, highlighting risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Inherit and expand the established 4D Synchro model. Model phased logistics and temporary works for input into sequence using 3DS Max. Run 'what if' scenarios within 4D environment against baseline models to identify programme opportunities Link the project schedule with model files to create a visual sequence of works. Run physical and time-based clash detection of design, logistics and temporary works against the programme to validate. Create 1 week, 1 month and 3-month lookahead outputs for team briefings. Train and upskill the planning team in the use of Synchro and 4D techniques

Technical skills and Competencies:

Expert knowledge of Synchro 4D Pro. Very strong understanding of Construction Methodology, Logistics and Planning. High level of CAD Modelling experience in Autodesk 3DMax or similar. Understanding of Technology integration and data process. Capable of creating high-quality video and image outputs. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with the team and external stakeholders. Ability to manage time effectively to meet key deadlines and analyse problems and propose effective solutions. Able to work collaboratively and lead a team. Good understanding of Primavera and similar planning software. Comfortable with presenting at all levels of business including client and external stakeholders. Able to present facts at different levels of complexity dependent on audience. Able to collaborate and coordinate effectively between teams. Team player with ability to engage with others. Basic experience in OpenBuilding Designer, ProjectWise CDE and Revit for model translation.

Qualifications, Certifications and Experience:

Experience working in BIM/4D space. Experience of large (100m plus) projects. Experience in the railway or infrastructure environment.
