5 Shift Operator - Various Departments

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Innovia Films as a 5 Shift Operator, in various production departments at our Wigton site.

Innovia Films are a leading global manufacturer of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) films, supplying highly differentiated speciality products into the packaging, labels, tobacco overwrap and securities markets.

What is this role?

We are looking for 5 Shift Operators to join our Production departments at our Wigton plant. Reporting to the departmental supervisor, the Operator will be responsible for the tasks associated with the production of film materials, carrying out safe working practices whilst maintaining high levels of quality, driving efficiency, productivity and reducing FAO.

The responsibilities of the role will include:

Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Comply with appropriate rules, regulations, and processes for safely and efficiently moving and handling all goods.

Ensuring effective communication between colleagues, the wider team, and other departments to ensure high levels of customer service.

Liaising with all departments and prioritise the workload appropriately.

Having a high level of housekeeping and ensuring high levels of tidiness within the department.

Control costs by reducing waste in the department.

Keeping up to date with operating procedures, and all other training requirements.

Any other duties, as requested from the department supervisor or department Manager

What skills will you need?

As the successful candidate, you will require the ability to work flexibly and train in all disciplines within the process. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders and demonstrate both excellent communication and time management skills.

Manufacturing and or previous experience working in a warehouse is preferred, as well as a proven track record of good communication skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You should have the ability to manage multiple activities and priorities to meet tight deadlines.

What are we offering in return?

The starting salary for this role will be 32,381.13, you will work through the Development, Training and Review Rate (envisaged 21 months) before reaching the Top of Band which is currently 43,097.38.
