Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver with experience of towing a trailer to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety and tachograph regulations. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A background in recovery driving or HGV delivery driving is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, trucks and trailers for the transportation of vehicles. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and report any mechanical issues. Load and unload vehicles on to trucks and trailers. Ensuring all loads are strapped down and secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Be competent with Tachograph regulations and have the required driving card.

Experience

Previous experience as a 7.5 tn delivery driver or in commercial driving is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed operations is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues is advantageous. Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members and clients. Experience of towing large trailers is necessary.
