Job Overview

We are seeking a professional 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5-tonne lorry, adhering to all road safety and traffic regulations Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to meet schedule requirements Load and unload goods using appropriate manual handling techniques or mechanical aids such as flatbeds or tail lifts Ensure all deliveries are accurately documented and signed for upon receipt Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any mechanical issues promptly Maintain a clean and well-organised vehicle, complying with health and safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatch teams, clients, and warehouse staff regarding delivery schedules or any delays Assist with warehouse duties when required, including stock organisation and inventory checks

Qualifications

Valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery roles Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to 7.5 Tonne vehicles Experience with flatbed or specialised delivery equipment preferred Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential Ability to demonstrate good organisational skills and attention to detail Possession of a valid driver's CPC qualification is desirable

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.00-17.00 per hour
