7.5 Ton Furniture Delivery Driver

Competitive salary of 33,825 based on a 40-hour week, with overtime payable as time off in lieu or time and a half pay. Day shifts only (Tuesday to Saturday)

Job Opportunity

Join our respected Delivery and Installation team, operating from our Hertford Distribution Centre. As a

7.5-tonne delivery driver

, you'll be the final touch in our customers' experience - ensuring furniture is delivered with care and professionalism.

You will:

Work as part of a two-person team with a driver's mate. Drive a

7.5-tonne vehicle

safely, following assigned routes and road safety regulations. Represent Fishpools with a courteous and professional attitude. Load, secure, and deliver furniture such as beds, sofas and tables - heavy lifting involved (lifting equipment provided). Assess access to properties and ensure safe, damage-free delivery. Install furniture in the customer's room of choice and remove packaging for recycling. Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any issues immediately. Provide feedback to help improve our delivery service.

Great People

While full training is provided, previous furniture delivery experience is preferred and will be an advantage. Applicants must also meet the following requirements:

Over 25 years old (for vehicle insurance purposes).

Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement.

Valid Digital Tachograph card.

Valid CPC card.

No endorsements - clean licence essential. Comfortable and confident driving

7.5-tonne vehicles.

Customer-focused, respectful, and confident in face-to-face communication. Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move heavy items with care. Professional and motivated, with a flexible, can-do attitude. Able to stay calm when facing unexpected challenges like traffic or difficult access.
