Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 7.5 Tonne Driver (Self Employed) to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all driving regulations.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed lorry to transport goods to designated locations Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of items on the flatbed Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules

Skills

Valid UK driving licence with a category C1 entitlement Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with commercial driving experience Familiarity with flatbed lorries and their operation Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure Good communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
