Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time and in accordance with company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to road safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to various locations. Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently, adhering to scheduled routes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in good working condition. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver. Familiarity with flatbed lorries is highly desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is essential.
