Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all road safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving and have a good understanding of flatbed operations.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations. Ensure that all deliveries are made in a timely manner while adhering to traffic laws and company policies. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport, particularly when using flatbed configurations. Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required. Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients at delivery points. Report any vehicle issues or accidents immediately to management.

Skills

Proven experience as a delivery driver, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and driving best practices. Experience with flatbed operations is highly desirable. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving a 7.5 tonne vehicle is essential.
