Job Description

This is initially a temporary assignment for a 13-week period, with strong potential for permanent employment following successful completion of the probationary period and performance review

Early starts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM Work 4 days per week on a Monday to Saturday rotation One Saturday off every 3 weeks (i.e., work 2 Saturdays, then one off)
Contracted Hours per week 44

Qualifications required -:

Full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement Driver CPC qualification Digital Tachograph Card

Key responsibilities -:

Deliver sofas, furniture, and home furnishings to customers' addresses following planned routes Assist with loading and unloading furniture onto and off the vehicle, ensuring safe handling of bulky and heavy items Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle, including regular cleaning Work efficiently with a delivery crew mate to complete deliveries professionally and on time Provide excellent customer service, representing the company during deliveries Adhere to health and safety standards, including manual handling and road safety regulations Complete all required delivery paperwork and electronic scanning accurately Perform daily vehicle safety and maintenance checks and report any defects

Skills -:

Valid UK Category C1 (7.5t) driving licence with Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Previous experience in furniture or bulky goods delivery preferred but not essential Physically fit and capable of handling heavy and awkward items regularly Good communication skills and customer service orientation Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently Strong organisational and time management skills Basic literacy and numeracy skills
