Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods using a flatbed vehicle. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to safety regulations, and the ability to manage delivery schedules effectively.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed vehicle for the transportation of goods to various locations. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during driving operations. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles. Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed experience. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organised vehicle at all times.
