Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed or box lorry for local and regional deliveries Plan and follow efficient delivery routes in accordance with schedules Load and unload goods safely using appropriate equipment and techniques Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during driving operations Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or issues

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne vehicles Strong understanding of flatbed and general delivery operations Excellent driving skills with a clean driving licence valid for the appropriate vehicle category Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable Organised with good time management skills to meet tight schedules Ability to operate vehicle safety systems and conduct routine maintenance checks Good communication skills, professional attitude, and customer-focused approach
