Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne / class 2 Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and have a thorough understanding of commercial driving regulations. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne / class 2 lorry for the transportation of goods to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo, particularly when using flatbed configurations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs. Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients professionally. 1 overnight run maybe required weekly

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with 7.5 tonne or class 2 vehicles. Strong knowledge of delivery driver responsibilities and best practices. Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently. Excellent navigation skills with a good understanding of local roads and traffic patterns. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients and team members. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is essential. A commitment to safety and compliance with transport regulations is crucial for this role. CPC Card Required.
