Phoenox Textiles Ltd are a family-owned textile manufacturer based in Clayton West, Huddersfield and we have been operating in this location since 1954. We have a wide range of award-winning brands and distribute worldwide. Having started with just 10 members of staff we now employ over 140 people and continue to innovate and expand in our sector.

We are looking for an experienced & safe 7.5 tonne driver to join the team. We are looking for a good all-rounder who is proactive, practical and can work well under their own steam, as well as in a team, prioritising tasks in line with the needs of the business.

The successful candidate will be to be responsible for transporting goods from our Manufacturing site to our teams in Distribution ensuring they are checked off and accurately report any damages and shortages and be responsible for goods out, liaising with the office team and taking the orders to the teams.

Duties to include, but not limited to

Safe transportation of goods to the designated locations

Ensuring your vehicle checks are completed daily reporting any concerns to your manager

Occasional offsite deliveries or collections

Ensuring good housekeeping is always adhered to.

Follow all instuctions in line with Health & Safety.

Aiding the team to locate required stock to send between sites using a pump truck.

Transferring stock inside the warehouse.

Collecting orders from the office team and delivering to the relevant departments.

Any other ad hoc duties that may be required.

Qualifications and Experience -

A recognised and current CPC licence and drivers card

Tacho card

Recent proven experience within a similar role driving (within the last 6 months).

Valid drivers' licence with a clean record preferable.

Strong time management to meet delivery deadlines.

Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers and other team members.

Good literacy and numeracy skills required.

A friendly and approachable demeanour as to represent the company well.

13.27ph

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 07.45-16.30 Friday 07.45-15.15
