Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable

7.5 tonne Driver and Warehouse Assistant

to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and warehouse knowledge. . This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe transportation of goods to various locations, contributing to our commitment to excellent service.

Duties

Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly for transport. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in line with company policies. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding schedules and any issues. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any concerns or queries. Support and assist the warehouse team as and when required. Use of FLT (if licence is held). Use of PDA's and hand held scanners.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday

Start Time - 7:30am / Finish Time - Between 4pm and 6pm (dependent on company needs)

Requirements

Valid commercial 7.5 tonne (Category C1) driving licence with a clean driving record. Driver CPC. A minimum of 1 year's experience. FLT Licence Proven experience operating flatbed and/or articulated vehicles. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and commercial driving best practices. Excellent time-management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy loads when required. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
