Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated 3.5/7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team in Chilworth, Guildford.In this role, you will be a king pin central to being a vital part in our mission to provide effective waste management solutions while ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service. You will be part of a happy small team so a sense of humour is essential. All PPE is provided, as well as other valid expenses.
Responsibilities
Drive a 3.5 or 7.5 tonne vehicle to perform scheduled waste collections and deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness, both inside and out. Perform duties in the yard as and when required. Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and clients
Qualifications and Requirements
Licence Requirements:
Must possess a valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) along with the relevant driving categoriesCategory C1
(for 3.5 to 7.5-tonne vehicles) We welcome applications from both existing C1 licence holders (including those with grandfather rights)Driving Record:
A clean driving licence is essentialPhysical Fitness:
This is a physically active role involving frequent manual handling, loading/unloading, and occasional yard duties. Candidates must therefore be in good physical health with a level of fitness suitable for the demands of the job and have no pre-existing medical conditions or ailments that would prevent the safe performance of these core duties, in line with health and safety regulations.Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 17.50 per hour
