Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of vehicle to various locations (mainly around the Manchester and surrounding areas). The ideal candidate will possess excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of road safety, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods. Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling techniques are used. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues. Assist with flatbed deliveries when required, ensuring load security during transit.

Experience

Previous experience as a vehicle recovery driver and/or a vehicle inspector. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle. Familiarity with flatbed driving is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

Please note the the applicant will be based from a small site in/around Bury/Oldham/Manchester (Site to be discussed and will be organised close to the successful candidates address) where they will need to commute to each day. Shift times rarely exceed 10 hour days and this with a usual start time of 6am with 3pm finish

Pay: 13.00-16.00 per hour
