Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Multi-Drop Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will need to have a valid driver CPC qualification, DQC and digital tachograph card.

Mon-Fri 7am - 5pm

Weekly Pay, one week in arrears

28 days paid leave, including Bank Holidays

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne tail lift equipped automatic transmission lorry to carry out mixed freight deliveries of goods, on behalf of DX Freight, across a defined geographic area. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order, bringing to Management attention any defects with the vehicle Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items, using lifting equipment provided and as required. Maintain accurate delivery records through use of a handheld PDA. Adhere to all traffic laws and EU WTD breaks and driver regulations, ensuring a safe driving environment for yourself and others on the road. Communicate effectively with team members and the traffic department at all times.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with a 7.5t entitlement. Valid HGV Driver CPC essential Proven experience as a multi-drop delivery driver in a similar commercial driving role is essential. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in routing deliveries. Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.

This role does involve some heavy lifting for which lifting / moving equipment is provided, however, physical fitness is very important.
