Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all relevant driving regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Load and unload goods onto flatbed vehicles, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients. Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on the road and during loading/unloading activities. Report any vehicle maintenance issues promptly to management.

Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver, specifically with 7.5 tonne vehicles is essential. Previous experience with flatbed deliveries is highly desirable. A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for commercial driving is required. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in delivery operations. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
