Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage the logistics of delivery routes effectively.
Duties
Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery of goods to various locations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving Collaborate with the logistics team to optimise delivery routes
Experience
Previous experience as a delivery driver is essential, preferably with a focus on commercial driving Familiarity with flatbed lorries is advantageous A valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles is required Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in managing delivery schedules Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From 18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
