Wilby International is coming to Harrogate, but we cannot do it alone!

We are seeking a skilled and reliable 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our new dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to road safety regulations, and the ability to handle home deliveries.

Responsibilities

Operate a 7.5 tonne van for the transportation of goods, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working order. Load and unload goods onto and from the vehicle, ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transit. Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork (online) in a timely manner. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients. Be a team player and excellent communicator. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management. Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times while remaining flexible to changes as required. Use the company's PDAs, ensuring that all freight is photographed and PODs are signed in the device. Keep up to date with traffic laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence with appropriate categories for operating a 7.5 tonne vehicle. Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is highly desirable. Familiarity with pallet network operations is an advantage. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in driving. Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. Pay: 530.00-795.00 per week

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
