Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as adherence to all road safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and a proven track record as a delivery driver.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed lorry for the transportation of goods. Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to customers while maintaining high standards of service. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and vehicle logs. Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.

Requirements

Valid UK driving licence with appropriate classification for 7.5 tonne vehicles. Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is essential. Familiarity with flatbed lorries is advantageous. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
