7.5T Delivery Driver

15.25 per hour

Full Time - up to 48 hours per week, 4 days per week over 7 days

Weekend work involved

We work in partnership with a well-known global furniture brand retailer delivering their purchases and are looking for people who are confident in dealing with customers and who are professionals in their field.

Previous experience of multi drop delivering is desirable when considering applying for this role.

With the customer at the heart of all we do, you will offer exceptional customer service at every stage of the process.

About the role:

As the face of our company combined with a great service attitude, you will meet different people from all walks of life every day, no two days are the same as we deliver to family homes and business in and around your local area. You will have an experienced driver's mate with you when necessary, and don't worry, you won't be required to assemble any of the items you deliver!

You need to be able to communicate in a professional and polite manner - always making certain that we can deliver not only the items required, but also excellent customer service.

You will accompany an experienced member of the team your first few weeks with us to ease you into your new role and welcome you into our business.

The role will require experience of safely operating a large vehicle whilst delivering to rural and built up areas.

Heavy lifting, handling and carrying of products is part of this role and you will be required to support loading your vehicle; there is appropriate equipment to assist when required.

About You:

A full clean UK driving licence with a category C1 entitlement At least three year's driving experience Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices Good Customer Service skills. Good knowledge of your local area Confident with dealing with customer queries. Ability to work part of a team and on own initiative. Good time management.
You will be required to submit or share a Driving Licence Check with us before any offer of employment can be made. Interviews will be conducted by the Site Management team, and will include general questions about your experience as well as a short practical driving assessment which includes a short quiz about the Highway Code.

Please make sure you bring your glasses if you need them to drive!
