Job Summary

We are seeking a professional 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to various locations, ensuring timely and accurate service. This role requires a valid driving licence, experience in commercial driving, and familiarity with flatbed vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate excellent driving skills, a strong safety record, and the ability to manage deliveries with professionalism and reliability.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a 7.5 tonne flatbed lorry for the transportation of goods to designated destinations Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations Load and unload cargo, ensuring items are secured properly during transit Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift to identify any maintenance issues or safety concerns Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status or any delays Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, complying with health and safety standards at all times Assist with loading and unloading when required, using appropriate equipment and techniques

Experience

Proven experience as a commercial driver, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar lorries Delivery driver experience is highly desirable Valid 7.5 Tonne driving licence (Cat C or equivalent) is essential Familiarity with road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving Prior experience handling cargo securely on flatbeds or similar vehicles is advantageous
