Location: Harlow Timber Centre, Teal Park Industrial Estate, Nottingham, NG14 5JX

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours of Work: 44.5 average per week and these will be worked flexibly between 7.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday, times to be agreed with line manager, with a 30-minute lunch break and a minimum of 26 Saturday mornings per year from 8am to 12pm, generally worked on alternate weekends.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated 7.5t Driver / Yard Sales Assistant to join our team in Nottingham, NG14 5JX. As an integral part of the high standard of service we offer to our customers, the purpose of the 7.5t Driver / Yard Sales Assistant is to deliver goods from the branch to customers at a variety of destinations in and around the branch's surrounding area on a 7.5t Lorry or a Pickup truck.

What you'll be doing as 7.5t Driver / Yard Sales Assistant:

Focussing on load security & highway laws and drive safely and lawfully while making deliveries


Delivering a high level of customer service when based on the yard


Driving efficiently to delivery destinations and in reasonable time, working to achieve the expected daily number of deliveries as appropriate


Supervising the offload of goods at the destination yourself and/or with onsite personnel, and/or onsite personnel-operated plant


Providing a prompt, polite, helpful, and professional service to customers at the delivery destination, always promoting a positive company image


Operating a crane lorry (appropriate training will be provided)

Your Skills:

Driving License to Category C1


Knowledge of surrounding areas and routes and ability to navigate yourself safely, efficiently and cost effectively


Ability to provide a courteous and professional approach to customers


Ability to work safely


Desirable but non-essential

Timber knowledge


Manual Handling Training
