Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as adherence to all driving regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will possess a valid driving licence for 7.5 tonne vehicles and have a proven track record in commercial driving.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the transportation of goods across designated routes Ensure timely and safe deliveries while maintaining high standards of customer service Conduct pre-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance with regulations Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items on the flatbed Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly

Skills

Proven experience as a recovery driver, preferably with 7.5 tonne vehicles Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving Experience with flatbed operations is highly desirable Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with customers and team members Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is required, along with any necessary certifications for commercial driving.
