Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our family business driving a DAF curtainsider. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations all over the UK, including 1-2 nights out per week.

Duties

Operate a 7.5 tonne curtainsider lorry for the transportation of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road. Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any customer inquiries or concerns professionally.

Qualifications

Valid UK driving licence (7.5 Tonne or class 2) Previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.

Pay

7.5t only = 12.50 per hour + 14 overtime (average 50-60 hours per week) Class 2 driving a 7.5t = 13 per hour + 14.50 overtime (average 50-60 hours per week) 25 per night out
