Summary

We are seeking dedicated 8 wheel tipper drivers which falls under a Class 2 licence to join our team at Armstrong Aggregates Ltd.

In this role, you will be responsible for transporting stone materials from our quarries to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations. Your contribution will be vital in maintaining our reputation as a reliable supplier in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials from quarries to customers Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations Load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are followed Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for all trips made Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road

Requirements

Valid class 2 HGV license is required Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably in the construction or aggregates industry Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial for vehicle maintenance Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients Experience with flatbed trucks is a plus but not mandatory

Schedule

Monday to Friday 7am - 6pm 2 Saturday mornings per month paid at time and a quarter Overtime paid at time and a half (depending on Working Time Directive) 2 weeks closure at Christmas
