Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Tipper Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently, as well as a good understanding of mechanical operations related to vehicles.

Duties

Operate tipper lorries, for the delivery of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in safe operating condition. Communicate effectively with yard and office staff regarding loading and unloading procedures. Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to commercial / HGV driving. Navigate routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while ensuring safety on the road.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Previous experience as a tipper driver or in a similar role is preferred. Grab ticket is advantageous but not essential. Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Familiarity with aggregate operations is advantageous. A commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws at all times.
