As a

Clinical Psychologist

, you'll bring your expertise to deliver

specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions

. You'll be a vital member of our multidisciplinary team (MDT), collaborating with mental health professionals, psychological therapists & psychiatrists. You will share knowledge through training, consultation & complex case discussions with non-psychologist colleagues. With close ties to the

DClinPsy programmes at Liverpool, Lancaster, & Manchester

, you'll have the opportunity to

supervise and support

Trainees and Assistant Psychologists.

Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) HPC registered Doctoral level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS #####

Desirable criteria




Additional Psychotherapy qualification Supervision Qualification Prequalification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology ####

Knowledge and Expertise

Skills in conducting complex psychological assessment and intervention frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration Well developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex and / or sensitive information to clients and professional colleagues within and outside the NHS Evidence of continuing professional development Skills in providing consultation to other professionals and non-professional groups #####

Desirable criteria




Experience of liaison with other health professionals Experience of providing teaching and training Experience of contributing to policy and service development Knowledge of psychological techniques to treat a range of disorders with specific reference to difficult to treat groups (e.g. personality disorder, dual diagnoses, people with additional disabilities etc). High level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised psychological therapies. Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non professional groups. ####
