We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Family Solicitor with 1-5 years PQE to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law and possess excellent organisational and communication skills. This role involves providing legal advice and representation to clients on various family-related matters, including divorce, child custody, and financial settlements. The Family Solicitor will work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored legal solutions. The candidate should hold the additional qualification to act as Supervisor of a Family Legal Aid contract. The role would involve both Public & Private matters, some funded via Legal aid.
Responsibilities
Provide expert legal advice on family law matters, including divorce, separation, child custody, and financial settlements.
Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
Prepare legal documents such as petitions, agreements, and court filings accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of family law legislation and developments to provide informed advice to clients.
Build strong relationships with clients through effective communication and support throughout their legal journey.
Collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers or mediators, to achieve the best outcomes for clients.
Manage case files efficiently using IT systems to ensure all documentation is organised and accessible.
Qualifications
Qualified solicitor with a valid practising certificate in family law.
Proven experience in handling family law cases with a strong understanding of relevant legislation.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong IT skills for managing case files and utilising legal software effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex legal information clearly to clients.
A compassionate approach towards clients facing challenging personal circumstances is essential.
