Job Description

As an AC Design Engineer, you will play a critical role in both the design and optimisation of AC powertrain systems and the development of AC electrical panels.

Responsibilities:

Design and optimise AC motors, power delivery systems, and control strategies. Model and simulate AC powertrain systems. Design AC electrical panels, including component selection, schematics, and layout. Ensure designs comply with IEC, NEC, and other electrical safety standards. Troubleshoot, test, and improve systems from concept to production. Collaborate across Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams. Support service and training teams as needed.

Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar. 3+ years' experience in AC powertrain or panel design. Strong understanding of AC machine and powertrain principles. Skilled in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical). Knowledge of electrical safety codes and standards. * Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
