Overview
As Academic Standards Manager, you will be responsible for supporting a number of NCC Education Accredited Partner Centres in an assigned region or regions, in their delivery of NCC Education's qualifications.
Job purpose
You will be responsible for monitoring and supporting the academic performance of Accredited Partner Centres as well as supporting other departments in NCC Education. You will manage aspects of quality assurance monitoring, academic improvement activities and discussions for Accredited Partner Centres, ensuring their on-going compliance with NCC Education Academic Regulations and relevant regulatory bodies.
Key responsibilities:
Monitoring Centre performance and maintaining/adjusting Centre risk ratings accordingly.
Supporting the Quality Assurance department in investigating and reporting on maladministration and malpractice.
Advising Centres on best practice with regards to learner enrolment, programme delivery and assessment for NCC Education qualifications.
Delivery of training for Centre staff
Proactive follow-up with Centres and academic staff
Provide Centre feedback and market insights to other internal teams
Gaining feedback on proposed developments to NCC Education qualifications
Developing Centre action plans with the aim of improving academic performance and assessment results
Contributing to decisions on exemptions, direct entry/APL, and extension requests where required
Management of accreditation through timely completion of associated paperwork
Training new Centre staff on NCC Education's products, processes and systems
Supporting NCC Education in liaising with Ministries of Education and other Regulatory Bodies where required
Academic administrative duties as and when requested
Supporting current Centres to grow candidate numbers
Developing Centres to offer a pathway of programmes which allow candidates to progress on to other NCC Education or NCC partner programmes

Postgraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in Education [essential]
Experience and Knowledge
Teacher experience ideally at a UK University or equivalent, preferably in Computing or Business [desirable]
Knowledge and experience of relevant regional markets [desirable]
Knowledge of academic matters [desirable]
Knowledge of UK higher education sector [desirable]
Knowledge of quality assurance bodies [desirable]
Experience of supporting international students and partners [desirable]
Demonstrate experience in creating, planning and delivering training [desirable]
Fluency in English [essential]
Fluency in another language would be advantageous [desirable]

Requirement - Candidates must have the right to work in the UK on permanent basis. Candidate must be able to commute to office in Manchester Didsbury, 2 days a week.
