Salary:
12,562 rising to 12,712 per annum, pro rata of the full time equivalent (FTE) 23,670 rising to 23,952 per annum (Professional Services Grade 3 & 3a)
Job Type: Permanent, Part Time 22.5 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+2 weeks per year

Academic Support Coach
to provide high-quality, individualised learning support that enables students with high needs and declared support needs to access their education, thrive in college life, and grow in independence.
Academic Support Coach - Key Responsibilities:
Your role will be key in:
Enabling learners
with high needs and declared support needs to access learning and the wider college environment
Safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing
of all learners
Helping students achieve their goals
- from qualifications and SMART targets to outcomes in their Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs)
Monitoring and evaluating the impact
of your support, ensuring it is effective, inclusive and student-centred
Academic Support Coach - You:
We are seeking someone who is:
Empathetic and student-centred
, with a strong understanding of learning support and engagement strategies.
Organised and proactive
, able to manage a varied caseload and maintain accurate records.
Collaborative
, working effectively with curriculum teams, families, and external partners.
Flexible and resilient
, ready to adapt to changing needs and support students across multiple campuses.
Essential Requirements:
Literacy and numeracy qualifications at Level 2 (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
Experience of individual and group work support.
Ability to work alone and be self-motivated.
Desirable Extras:
To hold be willing to work towards a level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
A teaching, caring or coaching qualification.
