Academy Physiotherapist / Sports Therapist



(Part-Time and Casual)



Up to 20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.



Part-time, 0 - 8 hours per week working evenings and weekends to cover fixtures (flexibility with days and times of work is required).



There are three positions available.





We are looking for suitably qualified Physiotherapists or Sports Therapists to join our Academy medical team, working closely with Academy players and staff. The successful candidates will predominantly work with players in the U9-U16 age groups and will be responsible for contributing to a sports therapy programme and providing immediate medical cover for young footballers in training sessions and live fixtures.



In this varied role you support with individualised assessments, treatment, and rehabilitation, adhering to established return to play protocols.



Candidates must be a member of a recognised regulatory body for Physiotherapists or Sports Therapists, with a degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy or other relevant discipline. Candidates must also hold a valid Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football certificate and be able to lead on first aid cover for Academy fixtures, both home and away.



This role requires flexibility and a willingness to work non-standard hours in accordance with the needs of the Club. Passionate about making a difference through sport, candidates must have excellent communication and organisational skills and have the ability to form positive relationships with players and their parents/carers as applicable to maximise their potential as young footballers.

As this role is likely to involve the supervision of and work with children and young people or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will require clearance to work in football and an Enhanced Criminal Records Check (CRC) through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

This means that they do not need to be disclosed to employers, and if they are disclosed, employers cannot consider them.
