Derby County are seeking to recruit an Academy Therapist to join the Academy Medicine and Physical Performance at Moor Farm Training Centre.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pitch-side care and injury management to FP/YDP training and games held at Derby County Training Centre, Development Sites within the region, and other Academy training grounds. The successful candidate will also provide or support clinic assessments, rehabilitation, and management.

Also, there will be the potential to provide support on national and international tours.

Key Role Responsibilities:



Provide pitch-side support during training and games for the Academy.

Provide or support clinic assessments, rehabilitation, and management.

Communicate with the Academy Medical Department, Phase Lead and respective coaches on player injuries, first aid management and their availability during training and games.

Complete relevant documentation, report forms and notes for any injuries/illnesses or concerns.

Complete and support with any kit, equipment or logistical organisation as instructed.

To support any wider education or communication that is requested of you for staff, players or parents.

Regularly check and respond on relevant platforms, including Kairos, Kitman, WhatsApp and email.

Take responsibility for any DCFC property and equipment and return it when your employment concludes.

Work within the professional boundaries highlighted by their respective first aid/trauma course or certifications and seek help/handover where appropriate.

To attend CPD events within the department.

Ensure you are current and complete all training, certification, and registration needed to perform your role.

Have relevant indemnity insurance.

Personal characteristics and experience:



Previous pitch-side experience (desirable)

Be able to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Always be punctual and act professionally and responsibly whilst representing Derby County Football Club.

Must be aware of and be able to work within the limitations of their professional knowledge and skills.

Be able to seek Senior support and guidance where appropriate.

Confident, Resilient and Self Motivated.

Excellent Communications skills, both verbal and written

Qualifications:



Essential

BSc Degree in Physiotherapy (preferred) or Sports Therapy or currently studying towards completing.

Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF) qualification or higher (with an agreement to obtain ATMMiF if a qualified Physiotherapist).

Desirable

Level 5 ATMMiF Trauma Medical Management in Football qualification or equivalent is preferred but not essential.

Full UK Driving License

Salary is competitive, dependent on experience.
