Make property offers in accordance with Housing legislation and make informed decisions to discharge duty, ensuring these decisions can withstand legal scrutiny.
Coordinate available properties in the private rented sector and work with Housing Caseworkers to identify high-priority households for Direct Lets to prevent and relieve homelessness.
Ensure high-quality property offers, suitability, and discharge of duty decisions are made promptly for temporary and private rented accommodations.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines, allocating accommodation based on need and ensuring all offers are suitable.
Contribute proactively to the council's action plan to reduce the number of households in temporary accommodation by monitoring and maximizing move-on opportunities from temporary and supported housing.
Maintain accurate records of individuals in emergency, temporary, and supported housing, and compile statistical information for local and central government reports.
