From Chepstow to Caerphilly, Abergavenny to Abertridwr and Torfaen to Tredegar, our Accommodation/Maintenance Assistants play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of fully managed accommodation facilities provided by Highmore Group. This position involves a combination of basic maintenance skills and customer service, aimed at providing a comfortable and safe environment for all residents.
Accommodation Services
Provide a professional and approachable presence on site, being the first point of contact for residents and visitors.
Carry out service user inductions, clearly explaining Excluded Licence Agreement conditions, house rules and health & safety information.
Mediate disputes between tenants where appropriate, escalating issues where necessary.
Monitor and review CCTV daily to ensure compliance with the conditions of occupying the property.
Carry out weekly property inspections to ensure compliance from both the landlord and the service user.
Deliver excellent customer service by addressing resident inquiries and concerns promptly.
Respond to out-of-hours calls for emergency placements at properties across South East Wales.

Repairs/Maintenance
Complete minor maintenance tasks such as lock changes, coded lock changes, PVC window repairs (handle replacement etc.), minor filling/painting repairs and construction of flat pack furniture.
Carry out void cleans including carpet cleaning and bed lining changes.
Delivery and installation of appliances.
Complete weekly communal cleaning throughout a range of properties to ensure that standards are maintained.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major issues to management.
Respond out-of-hours to carry out emergency maintenance tasks such as lock changes.
Collect and dispose of additional waste at properties as per collection schedule.
Essential Skills
Enhanced DBS check.
Ability to use basic hand/power tools.
Full UK driving licence.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Background in maintenance or accommodation services or both.
