This is a rewarding role which involves working face to face with some of the most in need people in our society: Manchester's homeless community. Etrop Grange emergency accommodation is a 69 bed unit, housing individual's in need of emergency provision, or who would otherwise be rough sleeping.
In this role you will help clients through identifying their support needs through regular interactions, completing referrals for suitable accommodation projects, signposting them to benefit departments and supporting them to engage with a housing application. In addition, you may need to refer clients for support from other agencies such as mental health and drug alcohol. Each client will have an individual support plan and have varying support needs.
This is an extremely rewarding but also at times challenging role which offers excellent opportunities for knowledge building and training. It is a fixed rota and shift pattern, working Monday to Friday onsite at the accommodation, 10am-5:30pm each day, this includes a 30minute unpaid break.
