Commercial Controller - Europe
Haddnenham, UK (hybrid)
The Commercial Account Controller leads the Commercial agenda and team for one of our largest customers. Responsible for overall customer engagement, setting and delivery of commercial targets, strategic direction and management and development of the team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for setting and delivering departmental commercial strategy, P&L, key KPI\xe2\x80\x99s and budget.
  • Drive EMEA customer engagement and relationship building to deliver commercial success. Drive customer agenda on new trends, concepts and innovation, coordinate customer projects through commercial & cross-functional teams, own delivery of commercial terms.
  • Lead the commercial team: personally, setting high standards and managing the development, training, goal setting and performance of the team. Support NAM\xe2\x80\x99s day to day activities and be first point of escalation.
  • Support the Flavour Solutions Leadership Team, defining and building the regional talent agenda at EMEA level.
  • Partner with Commercial Finance to review portfolio performance and pre-empt and de-risk macro impactors such as Foreign Exchange, Commodity Pricing and Financial Models.
  • Lead EMEA agenda within the global business, managing key internal teams and stakeholders and collaborating on global customer/commercial workstreams.
  • Network internally & externally to maintain awareness of markets, products, processes & competitors. Leverage knowledge and understanding external to the organisation, ie key trade associations and market conferences in order to elevate understanding and execution internally.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree qualified or equivalent
  • Solid experience in commercial food roles either B2B or B2C
  • Experience of Own Label or product development process would be beneficial.
  • Strong commercial impact, business acumen, influencing and negotiation skills are required.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills required to facilitate stakeholder interactions and negotiations at the most senior levels both internally and externally.
  • Comfortable presenting to large audiences and able to interact effectively at all levels of organization.
  • Team management, coaching and development experience.
  • Gravitas and influence within the client organisation to ensure successful project execution from start to end.
  • Evidence of negotiation skills and strategic growth contribution required
  • Strong P&L management experience
  • Strong ability to influence and lead
  • Good organisation & time management skills \xe2\x80\x93 able to prioritise work
