Job Description

As an Account Director, you'll take the lead on global healthcare and pharmaceutical clients, driving creative, compliant and results-focused marketing campaigns. Working within a leading integrated agency, this Account Director position offers the chance to make a genuine difference through purposeful, strategic work that delivers measurable outcomes. You'll manage a talented team, shape client strategy, and ensure best-in-class delivery across all channels.

What you'll be doing:
In this Account Director role, you'll act as the senior point of contact for a portfolio of global pharma and medtech clients. You'll develop and maintain strategic relationships, ensuring that every campaign aligns with business objectives, patient needs, and healthcare compliance standards.
You'll oversee thedelivery of fully integrated campaigns across digital, print, film, and experiential touchpoints. Collaborating closely with internal specialists in creative, strategy, digital and project management, you'll make sure projects are delivered to brief, on time and within budget.
As a senior member of the client services team, you'll also guide and mentor account managers and executives, helping them to develop their skills while maintaining excellence across all client outputs. You'll regularly present campaign strategies, lead client meetings, and champion innovation and best practice throughout the process.
What experience you'll need to apply:

  • Proven experience as an Account Director, or a Senior Account Manager ready to step up.
  • Agency background with solid exposure to healthcare, pharma, or medtech clients.
  • Medtech experience would be a real bonus.
  • Strong understanding of integrated marketing and campaign management.
  • Confident leading client relationships and managing senior stakeholders.
  • Experience overseeing cross-functional teams and mentoring junior colleagues.
  • Ability to present ideas and strategies effectively to clients.
  • Knowledge of ABPI and healthcare compliance frameworks.
  • A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience.
What you'll get in return for your experience:
You'll receive a competitive salary in the region of 60,000, plus a performance-related bonus. The contract is initially 10-12 months (maternity cover) with potential to move into a permanent position.
