Job Description

Following significant growth across our automotive accounts, we are seeking an accomplished Account Director to strengthen our client partnerships, unlock new opportunities, and elevate brand visibility through impactful, insight-led event and communications activity. This is a senior, hands-on role that requires a confident leader with a strong grasp of the full marketing mix, spanning digital, experiential, PR, and traditional channels.

As the senior lead for client service, you will bring a deep understanding of our client's brand identity, target audiences, competitive landscape, and wider business and PR objectives. You will translate these into event strategies, customer journeys, and key messages that drive measurable results. A core part of your role will be to identify and secure organic growth opportunities, proactively shaping additional briefs and strengthening our position as a trusted strategic partner. You will also play an influential role in new business development, contributing fresh ideas, shaping compelling proposals, and pitching confidently to senior stakeholders.

To confirm this role will require 4 days in the office in Corby and 1 day working from home per week

Key Responsibilities

Lead strategic account management, including senior-level client interaction, PR planning, strategic oversight, and ongoing activity tracking. Oversee/Deliver the full lifecycle of event delivery, from interpreting creative briefs to successful implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to an exceptional standard. Own and nurture senior client relationships, providing informed counsel acting as key decision maker and fostering long-term, trusted partnerships. Act as the primary liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring consistent communication, clarity of deliverables, and alignment across all workstreams. Translate client business objectives into impactful event strategies with measurable outcomes that support wider marketing and PR goals. Monitor and evaluate project performance, ensuring all activity meets agreed KPIs, ROI targets, budget parameters, engagement metrics, and audience expectations. Analyse event data and creative insights, transforming them into compelling narratives for reports, debriefs, and future recommendations. Demonstrate strong commercial acumen, with full responsibility for budgeting processes, financial accuracy, and maintaining healthy profit margins. Conduct ongoing market and industry research, identifying emerging opportunities, innovations, and trends to enhance client PR and broader marketing activity. Interrogate client briefs and lead ideation, driving the development of innovative proposals and delivering persuasive pitches to senior stakeholders. Support agency growth, proactively identifying opportunities for organic account expansion, upselling relevant services, and contributing to new business development.

Key Skills

8+ years' agency experience in a senior account management role Motorcycle Licence A flair for creativity and an eye for a story. Resilient and calm under pressure with a sense of humour Adaptability to evolving client needs and shifting priorities Solid understanding of event services including production, logistics, AV, technical solutions,and supplier management Strong knowledge of public relations strategies and protocols Proficient in using tools to monitor and analyse campaign success Solid project management skills with precision in planning, documentation and delivery Exceptional organisation skills with an ability to handle multiple projects at one time. High levels of communication - both presentation and verbal Commercially minded with strong negotiation skills Proven track record of developing and winning new business including pitching to Clients Experience of managing a small number of staff

Pay: 50,000.00-60,000.00 per year
