About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded and strategic Account Director to lead high-value client partnerships across the US market, with a particular focus on the sports and financial services sectors. This role combines consultative account leadership with advanced sales methodology, leveraging MEDDICC and SPIN Selling frameworks to drive predictable revenue growth, retention, and client impact.
You'll act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, helping them harness the power of language analytics and data-driven insights to enhance audience understanding, brand strategy, and communications performance.
This position requires a proactive, insight-led individual who thrives on developing long-term client relationships and is comfortable traveling to the US for quarterly business reviews, conferences, and tradeshows.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Client Leadership:
Own and grow a portfolio of enterprise and agency clients within the US market, driving long-term partnerships, retention, and revenue growth.
Sector Expertise:
Bring a nuanced understanding of the sports and financial services sectors, helping clients in these industries leverage linguistic insights to improve fan engagement, customer experience, and brand communication.
Consultative Sales & Methodology
: Apply MEDDICC and SPIN Selling principles to qualify opportunities, uncover client pain points, define success metrics, and deliver tailored solutions that create measurable business outcomes.
Commercial Growth:
Identify expansion and upsell opportunities, working cross-functionally with Sales, Insights, and Product teams to design scalable, data-driven solutions.
US Market Engagement:
Represent the company at US client QBRs, tradeshows, and industry events, strengthening relationships and driving strategic visibility in key verticals.
Insight Delivery:
Work with RI's delivery team to ensure complex linguistic and data insights are translated into actionable recommendations that align with the customer's strategic objectives, such as shaping clients' customer experience strategies or informing marketing communications.
Forecasting & Reporting:
Maintain accurate revenue forecasts and account health dashboards, using data to inform decision-making and account prioritization.
Team Development:
Mentor junior team members, embedding best practices in client management, consultative selling, and structured growth methodologies.
About You
5+ years' experience in account management or client success, within SaaS, data analytics, customer experience analytics.
Proven track record managing, renewing and expanding enterprise accounts using MEDDICC and SPIN Selling frameworks.
Strong familiarity with the US market and cultural nuances in client engagement and communication.
Industry experience or demonstrated understanding of the sports and financial services sectors.
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across multiple business functions.
Confident presenter with experience leading QBRs and representing companies at major industry events.
A bachelor's degree.
