ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE PLATFORMER
Reporting to Account Manager/Senior Account Manager
As an Account Executive at Havas Lynx Group, you are responsible for assisting in the day to day running of client accounts, providing an excellent level of customer service to our clients. You will progress assigned jobs through your agency's systems and procedures, liaising with internal teams and supporting the Account Manager (AM) as appropriate. You will have the ability to liaise confidently with internal teams, clients and suppliers where appropriate, whilst assisting the Client Services Team in the proactive management of project finance. From day one you will work with and support the wider Client Services Team (and agency) on key pieces of client work, gaining exposure to different types of projects, learning and developing key foundational skills that will set your career as an Account Executive off to the best possible start.
Main Duties:
Client managementBe proactive in developing and maintaining a close and productive relationship where required with key client contacts, acting with integrity at all times and including the AM in communications/key decisions as appropriate
Ensure that client requests are dealt with promptly and proactively, developing them into internal briefs with the support of your AM, to ensure expectations are managed in terms of speed and quality of response
Prioritise gaining client sign-off at the relevant project stages involving the AM where appropriate
Identify problems as they arise, bring them to the attention of the AM in a timely manner and work together to devise and implement a solution
Ensure contact reports of key meetings and telephone conversations are prepared, checked by the AM and issued to the client within 24-48 hours
Develop a thorough understanding of the client's business, supporting the AM in client communications as appropriate
Internal liaison & processDevelop good working relationships with all disciplines including them in relevant discussions to ensure they can add value to the projects you are responsible for delivering
Proactively develop your technical knowledge to be able to communicate with the Production Team effectively, involving the AM in communications as needed
Working with the AM, ensure jobs are scheduled on time, to budget and are monitored using appropriate administration and financial procedures
Align your priorities with the AM and using your time management skills, work to ensure deadlines are met, providing regular updates on progress
With support from the AM, distinguish between a good and poor client brief before it is accepted
Take thorough notes during internal and external meetings. Ensure clarity on agreed actions and progress these in a timely manner
Support the AM to ensure research and background information is prepared for briefs / pitches / presentations
Quality & impactEnsure the work that you send to the client is completed in a timely fashion and is of the utmost quality, with high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
Proactively develop your abilities so you are able to judge creative ideas of factual accuracy and relevance to brief, involving the AM as needed
Before a project leaves the agency, work with the AM to ensure all mandatory requirements have been considered and acted upon in order to gain sign off by the relevant Production Lead and client
Work collaboratively with others in the team to develop your craft to enhance the effectiveness of the work we produce
Be aware of client and campaign effectiveness objectives in order to enhance the work we produce
Financial managementWith support from the AM, ensure timely, accurate quotations are prepared and appropriate client sign-off is sought
Monitor ongoing costs throughout the projects you are working on, actively planning ahead and contributing in regular WIP review meetings
Proactively maintain job numbers and job records
Liaise with the finance team to produce accurate and timely invoices, working with the AM to contribute to the finance tracker and proactively deal with any financial queries as appropriate
Maintain Agresso in a timely and accurate manner, encourage those working on your projects to do the same
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary teamSupport the AM in working collaboratively with internal Production Teams, for projects/tasks where you are responsible, to ensure client requirements are managed to realistic timescales and budgets
Ensure that the Production Lead has the relevant information and competitor understanding, enabling them to add significant value to the project, consulting with the AM as appropriate
Understanding and working with the agencyDemonstrate thorough knowledge of Havas Lynx Group credentials and be able to confidently explain the agency's portfolio of services to clients to grow accounts and bring in new business
Understand the roles and responsibilities of other agency departments and manage their involvement in projects appropriately
Ensure appropriate admin / briefing / scheduling procedures required by other agency departments are understood and adhered to at all times
Understand and contribute to the goals of Havas Lynx Group
Training, industry knowledge and self-developmentEnsure that you keep up to date with relevant industry advancements, and proactively share this internally and externally, as appropriate
Ensure you take advantage of any relevant internal training opportunities including, but not limited to #LXAcademy
Proactively pursue self-development and training opportunities, assuming joint responsibility with your line manager for regular performance reviews
